The 790 Adventure has proven to be a solid performer, but like any new model, the flaws start to become evident once they are put to the test. One of these tests has been large rocks pushing through the thin plastic covers that do not do a good job at protecting your most precious asset: The fuel pump.
The Rottweiler Performance 790/890/901 Adventure Fuel Pump Guard is a beautifully machined billet aluminum cover designed to protect the fragile and exposed fuel pump, spigot and plug connection all in one tight and easily installed package. It is designed so that it will not interfere with aftermarket skid pans as well as giving access to unplugging the fuel pump connection without having to actually remove the entire guard. In addition, the minimalist and form-fitting shape is designed in such a way so that it isn't getting hit when it doesn't need to, adding unnecessary damage to your fuel tank from being too large and bulky. In other words, we put a lot of thought into the design.
NOTE: Optional Billet Fuel Spigot is available to round out your fuel pump protection package. Not only will it provide years of trouble free service, it will be there when you need it most unlike the flimsy OEM plastic spigot.
